Well, I released my new movie.

Choices: a poem
I'm quite proud, as I think it came out quite well, although there is quite a bit that could be improved. So go watch it. Please.

Although many users might shrug off your newest film due to a lack of animation, I can see that you've learned quite a bit of experience in coding. Every little lesson, practice will eventually ravel toward a even greater role.

Nice job on the poems, and I have to agree with Mindchamer on the smooth technique behind the choices. My question to you is how you can improve yourself for your next "movie". Your type of movie is quite rare here in NG (or I just never noticed these type of films) so I'm not sure how this could be further expanded. Perhaps even great user interaction (real time mood display?), and of course animation.

Keep at it Vert, on a side note it's interesting to note we share the same Sign-up date.

What a curious coincidence, same age, same sign up date and same level! But, sadly, whilest I'm at 100 on the exp rank, you're already at 79! I must have missed more deposits than I thought...

Regarding my movie, first off, thanks for the complements, it's always nice to receive feedback. Well, yes, this type of movie is near non-existent here at NG, which is something that always puzzled me (as I believe that NG has the potential for more variety in movies), but I feel that this type of movie can find more sucess here at NG, provided more people try to submit them.

But regarding your especific question, as I thinking more of esthetic changes to my next flash poem, adding more animation and "action" while keeping the same structure (as well as chaging one two or details). That way I think I can reach out / appeal to a larger audience. But your sugestion of real time mood display is very intriguing, what exactly do you mean?

Thanks for the comments.

I'm not cerain why I meant by a mood display but heck, with some thought I consider the choices could influenced in a way as the "blot inks" tests in pyschologoy. Perhaps that could be your animation, a shape tweened ink blot? haha

I don't know, but you definitely have a challenge to meet. I agree with what you said, and here on NG. Perhaps something to immediately catch the viewer's attention through say a simple mechanic as a 5 second countdown and how the text are introduced.

Humm, I was hoping for a more detailed answer to the mood display, because the name is catchy and evokes all kind of interesting ideas, but something more definitive would be vital for implementation. Guess I'll have to think of something myself. Still, it's given more ideas, so thank you.
Cheers

I thought it was interesting. :-)

Thanks for the compliment!

I disliked it.

Ok. Why? It's important for an artist to receive as much feedback as possible, so simply saying that you didn't like my poem dosen't really help me to improve myself. Didn't you like it because you don't like poems? Or because it lacked animation? Or <insert reason here>? I'd appreciate it if you could tell me (even if in a single phrase), why you didn't like my poem.
